Liebe Bergfreunde,

/Update: Unfortunately, due to personal reasons, I will not be able to hike on the 10th/11th - I tried to move my reservation to for one weekend earlier, but I only managed to get 2 spots. Therefore this event was cancelled, new is for 3/4th with 2 spots available only. I am more than happy for anyone else to join, but please note you will need to take care of your own hut reservation (and Purschlinghaus appears to be full at the moment). An alternative in the area is Kolbensattelhütte.

as I managed to get some spots for a very nice hut (Pürschlinghaus) I wanted to invite you to join a 2-day hike with me in the area.

This is the classical route between the two former royal hunting lodges, which are now made to DAV-huts

Please note that the hike has a reasonably strenuous way up and is partially exposed, therefore may not be suitable for beginners/people afraid of heights.

Our iterinary:

Day 1 (Saturday, 10th):

A bit long transfer over to the Linderhof castle, where we start our hike around 11am, then a reasonably steep way up to Brunnenkopfhaus (DAV), then Brunnenkopf and ascend to Große Klammspitz, where we would most likely have some lunch. We can then descend back to Brunnenkopfhaus (DAV), where we may stop for some food/drink depending on the moods and time. Afterwards, the main part of the royal path will lead us within 3-4h, depending on our appetite for the peaks, to Pürschlinghaus, which is a very nice DAV hut.

We will have our dinner at Pürschlinghaus and then do an evening/sunset hike/stroll, depending on that, if we have climbed the Teufelsättkopf on our way already.

Day 2(Sunday, 11th)

After waking up we head over the 'ridge' towards Kolbensattelhütte (breakfast at Pürschlinghaus or brunch at Kolbensattelhütte), then gently up in order to go over Bremeneck and Schirtenköpfl towards Unterammergau. (somewhat rocky, but not challenging path). Then down a well-tread path down to Unterammergau. Estimated arrival time back in Munich: afternoon or late afternoon.

Estimated cost (cash required): €50-80 (food, tickets, stay at the hut)

Please note that later in the process you will be required to transfer me €10 as a deposit and in case you will resign afterwards, you may not be getting it back.
