"Sentiero del Monte San Giorgio"
Monte San Giorgio is a UNESCO World Heritage Site because of the fossil finds from the Triassic Period. These are on exhibit in the museum of Meride. Other highlights: the archaeological park in Tremona-Castello, the panoramic views from the summit, lovely Alp Brusino and the studio of local painter Fiorello Fiorini.

Public transportation
Meeting point: Meet in the train EuroCity leaving from platform 7. I will come from Winterthur and rush to the platform. I'll try to reserve seats. As soon as I know where the seats are, I'll update — this will be on the evening before, after 20:00.
Back from Lugano at the evening
There's a connection every 30 minutes from Lugano. Showing connection I'll take, which includes having gone to a restaurant.
Tickets
Make sure to have tickets for the trains/busses.
