Description
Dear buddies,
Lets go for a beautiful hike together! 😁

What do you need to take part to this hike.

1) enough fitness
2) Deutschland Ticket (otherwise you can still join but you have to buy your own ticket)
3) please bring cash (many huts don´t accept card)
3) Team spirit. So put always an eye to the group and no gaps in the group
4) Motivation to join the event. At latest you can unjoin event 12 hours before. Thanks for understanding.

5) please be punctual. Train leaves at 6,55 but most probably it is gonna be crowded, so max 6,45 we go and we sit on the train.

This hike in the Chiemgau region, which runs slightly uphill along the Fischbach, represents an interesting transition to the Austrian Heutal. The Staubfall is located in a notch on the ridge from the Dürrnbachhorn to the Sonntagshorn and, with its drop of around 200 m, is an extremely spectacular hiking destination in the middle of a wild, romantic mountain landscape.
From the bus stop at the Holzknechtmuseum, we turn right, following the markings, to the Fuchswiese and then keep to the course of the Fischbach on another forest path. Flanked by steep mountain slopes on the left and right, we walk almost flat through the densely forested Fischbachtal. After the road, we then follow a narrow forest path, which now leads higher via serpentines. Directly on the German-Austrian border (a smugglers' route that used to be quite popular), we can watch the impressive spectacle of the falling water masses of the Staubfall from a safe vantage point. We continue to follow the footbridge to the Fischbachfall, then leave the forest and reach the Heutal in Austria.
We turn towards west till we reach the saddle between Hochgimpling and Dürrnbachhorn. Up to the right, partly through sparse forest, then in the mountain pine-covered terrain to the connecting ridge Wildalphorn - Dürrnbachhorn. To the Dürrnbachhorn, however, the marked path leads to the left over the ridge with great views. The summit cross is a good 300 m west of the highest point.
From the summit we have a great view of the surrounding mountains as well as the Berchtesgaden, Zillertal and Bavarian Alps as well as the Loferer / Leonganger Steinberge. Except for the summit area, we are only on Austrian territory. After enjoying this beautiful panorama we procced down to the valley towards our final destination: Seegatterl.

We are most probably going to catch the last bus at 17:48, that means we will be back to Munich at 20:06 for your info.

I am not a professional guide, hiking can be risky. Everybody is responsible for him/herself and must familiarize with the route and its requirements. Please be punctual at the station. We dont want to get into the train last minute. It would be mabe no seats and unconfortable.
In case of problems the hike day you can contact me at 017643285424.

Looking forward to see you!! 😊
