Description
Quick ascent to Zugspitze trying to avoid the bad weather forecast-ed in the afternoon.
Long tour, be sure to be fit and ready enough for a tough day :)
Hammersbach->Höllentalklamm->Zugspitze->Stöpselzieher-> Eibsee->Hammersbach
Mandatory equipment:
- Ferrata set
- Helmet
- Good vibes
- Food and snacks
- Enough water
- DAV insurance
- Proper hiking boots/shoes
- Proper clothes (rain might catch us)
Good to know
Meeting at HBF around 5 o´clock, return to Munich after 19:00.
We may have an early dinner/ice-cream on the way back
GPX is missing a couple of km from Eibsee to Hammersbach, I will update it after the hike.

I recommend bringing an ice axe just in case + crampons. Near the peak the cables were covered in snow two weeks ago.

Its the glacier (Höllentalferner) all the way to Randkluft.Current ice conditions are acceptable but better check the website of Bergführer Garmisch for detailed information

Most of the Klettersteig section after the glacier was ice free. But the final 150 meters in elevation were heavily covered in snow and an ice axe was definitely needed. The conditions should be better now.
