General info

Warning ! The altitude gain is substantial and we will be going at a medium pace (~500 m/hour) for most of the climb.

The hike starts late and we will only stop for lunch once we reach the Bachalpsee (~1PM). So please eat before and bring small snacks to stay fueled along the way.

Please note that I am not a guide and have never done this trail before, so prepare accordingly (GPX file, water, food, rain gear, warm clothes, etc). Be aware I may need to divert from the suggested circuit if necessary.

Meeting point

Grindelwald train station at 9h40 AM.

Transportation

IC81 departing from Zurich at 7h02 with a transfer in Interlaken Ost to R61 for Grindelwald. Arrival 9h40 on Gleis 1.
