General information

Description: As you may know, the Leimbach walk has a hut on the way, called Teehütte Fallätsche (Teehüsli), which open only on Sundays from 10 am to 5 pm. They sell very few things, but the prices are amazingly cheap (tea = 1 CHF) and the place is very cosy.

Starting time: 11h30 precisely. We will not wait for latecomers. You can try to catch up with us if late, but we don't always stick to the route.

Route: Mostly in the woods, some short & steep parts where you'll sweat, but still beginner friendly. A good alternative to Uetliberg.

Pace / fitness level: Open to everyone, it's short.

Transportation: Everyone goes to the meeting point on their own.

Schedule

1h up, 30 mn at the hut, 30 mn down.

13:00 barbecue. you bring your own food 🍖 🥩 . 🍲 there is a grill over there. we will use it.  and drinks and somethings to share. you can bake a cake. if you want. the point is to share and have good time.

15:00 we are going down. 

16:00 we are going to the lake to have a nice time and to swim 🏊 and cool off a bit. and just to chill and have nice time enjoying the hot 🥵 weather. 🌞 ☀️ 

18:00 we will stay there until that. We will take a lot of pictures so make sure you let me know if you don’t want to be in the pictures before that . Most likely we will post it on social media. Special note: you can also come at last minute just to take the picture with us 🙃😉😉😉😉

Gear

No mandatory gear. Shoes with good grip recommended.

A towel a blanket to seat anything you need to be comfy.

Important rules about Hiking Buddies

• You have until 12 hours before the start of the event to drop out from the hike.
• Participants not showing up will get a "NO-SHOW" flag on their profile, which decreases significantly your chances to be accepted on future hikes.
• The organizer is no professional guide, participants must be responsible for themselves (and that means to do some research about the routes and its potential dangers / tricky sections to know if you have the experience for it).
• Not a rule, but on your profile, ideally, add a picture of you and select the country you're from (not the one you're living in), to show how international the group is. :)
