Not for beginners. Don’t join if you have no experience of alpine hiking. We need to be punchy for this, 400m/hour. Please read this description before joining.
I am told this is more a T3 grade hike, to The ACTUAL highest alpine lake in Germany (I’m Caps-ing because my previous hike repeated an event with the wrong info; Rappensee is the highest, NOT Schrecksee!). I like to keep a decent pace but I am not a speed hiker and like to take in the view. However, we need approx 400m/hour for this. It will be a balance! If you’re slower and haven’t hiked in a while this one will not be for you.
We will have lunch at the hut. On the descent we’ll take a dip in Rappensee (maybe I need to be thrown in to speed up the proceedings). Please leave the day free incase timings differ and we are late getting back to munich. I will not tailor the event to fit your evening plans :-)
Note: Hiking can be dangerous. I am not a professional mountain guide.
Each participant is responsible for him/herself and has to be prepared to participate in this grade of hike and to bring suitable equipment.
I may need to move the date of this event if the weather changes, fingers crossed it’s decent!
