Super Ferrata Dachstein is very famous ferrata because it leads to the highest mountain of Dachstein. The ferrata is divided into 3 parts: Anna, Johann and Schulteransteig. The start of the ferrata can be reached in 45 minutes from the parking lot.
Anna Klettersteig: The Klettersteig is not so hard, there are couple of C/D sections and one D section. You can expect some beginneers in this ferrata. If you want to avoid this part, you can directly go to Johann Klettersteig from the parking lot in 1.5 hours.
Johann Klettersteig: There is usually old steep snow field which can be icy even in summer. It's recommended to bring ice axe and crampons. The ferrata has the hardest part just at the beginning which is D/E. Further in the Klettersteig, there are long C/D and D sections. The Klettersteig finishes at the hut.
Schulter Ansteig: This is the last part of the Klettersteig, and the most crowded one, thanks to the cable car. There are a lot of beginneers who take the cable car and just do this via ferrata. There are often long waiting times because many people skip the glacier descent but follow the same Klettersteig back. The Klettersteig leads to Hoher Dachstein (2995 m), the highest mountain of Dachstein. Either you follow the same Klettersteig or the glacier traversal you arrive at the same point, then follow the ski route to the cable car station.
From the Klettersteig you have three options, you can take the cable car back to the parking lot.
If you are not tired and want to challenge yourself, you can do Koppenkarstein westgrat Klettersteig, followed by Igr 2 Klettersteig. Koppenkarstein westgrat Klettersteig is mostly easy (max B) and has an option to do rope bridge. Igr 2 Klettersteig is C/D, but you have descent on this one. From there it's T3 hike to the parking lot. This option has nice views and it's less crowded.
As the last option, you can also do skywalk Klettersteig (E), followed by another Klettersteig. We didn't do this option, so can't say much.
