Monte Civetta (3220 m)  is one of the major peaks in Dolomites, there are 3 normal routes to the summit. Due to it's majestic shape you can recognize this summit from very long distance especially because of it's North-West cliff.

All three normal routes are very steep and require via ferrata to reach the summit. In this route we took Tissi via ferrata (C/D) for the ascent and Ferrata Alleghesi (C) for the descent. In order to do this route, you need to be extremely fit with a lot of stamina. Otherwise you can do this in multi days, with overnight stay at Refugio Mario Vazzoler and/or Refugio Torrani and/or Refugio Coldai.

Ascent: From the parking lot follow direction towards Rifugio Tissi, the path is very steep and goes through deep forest. Before arriving to Rifugio Tissi, turn right towards Refugio Mario Vazzoler, this path is mostly flat and going a bit down. From there the entry point of the Tissi ferrata first goes through steep rocky path and requires a long flat walk on gravel and rocky terrain.

Via Ferrata Tissi (C/D): The ferrata is not long (300 height meters) and offers beautiful views. You can see the topo here. After via ferrata and before Refugio Torrani there is a small glacier where crampons are needed.

From Refugio Torrani the summit is 30-45 minutes, the path is T4 with scrambling upto grade UIAA I.

Descent: From the summit the path first through a narrow and exposed ridge, after 15-20 minutes you will arrive at Ferrata Alleghesi.

Ferrata Alleghesi (C): This ferrata is long (800 m). Although it's not technically difficult but it accumulates the recent snow. So if there is recent snowfall, try to avoid this ferrata. You can find the topo here

From the ferrata follow a steep rocky terrain to Refugio Coldai, and further to Lago Alleghe.
