To start with, this tour took us to our border and it was a very long day.
We started at the Wochenbrunneralm, where you can park well. First we went to Gruttenhütte and left some of our luggage there. Then the climb to Kopftörl follows. A bit of climbing on the steel cable is required. The subsequent descent over a boulder field at the time was still covered in snow and made it a bit difficult. The further descent to the Anton Karg house takes place on forest roads. From there it goes uphill again, first on the Bettlersteig, then turn left onto the Gürtlersteig. You have to leave this to get to the Kufsteiner Klettersteig.
The via ferrata is easy at the beginning (A / B) but also contains two difficult passages (C / D). Overall, he goes over 390 meters and you should estimate about 2.5 hours. He ends up on the Gamskarköpfl. There is already a good view, but it is still worth ascending to Sonneck.
From there you have to go back part of the way back to the Kopfkraxen direction Sonnenstein. Over a slightly ascending trail you finally come back to the Gruttenhütte, where we stayed overnight. Also on the last part of the section offers a beautiful view into the valley and we could enjoy the last rays of sunshine.
All in all we needed 13 hours for this tour and we were glad that we just got food and beer at the Gruttenhütte.
