Route Information

Clockwise route:

Axamer Lizum (1580 m) - Schneiderspitze (2156 m) – Hochtennbodensteig – Widersberg (2327 m) – Hoadl (2340 m) / Hoadl Haus – Axamer Lizum (1580 m)

In summer, it is possible to BOTH take the ski lift up from the Axamer Lizum to Birgitzköpflhaus before proceeding to Schneiderspitze AND take the train down from Hoadl Haus back to Axamer Lizum.

Tips:
1) Do the route clockwise so you will have an easy path on the way down.
2) Make a slight detour to both Widersberg and Hoadl Haus; Might not look like much but it will give you a different perspective of the surroundings.
Driving:
If you cross the border via Mittenwald (and be careful not to enter the Autobahn by mistake), no Vignette (Austrian toll sticker) is needed.
