Route Information
This is an aawesome hike from Farchant to Eschenlohe via Weilheimer-huette. The hut is open in Summer only, unfortunately (from Mid May to Mid October).
This hike offers a lot of easy ridge walk. From Hoher Fricken to till the hut and then from hut to Hoher Kisten.
However, both from Farchant to Hoher Fricken or from Eschenlohe to Hoher Kisten its very steep and needs good Alpine experience.
The best thing is that it is very easily accessible with public transport.
From Munich to Farchant it takes one hour 15 mins and around an hour from Eschenlohe to Munich.
One can use Werdenfels ticket which is cheaper than even Bayern Ticket.
