Pendling is a 1563 m high mountain and a popular hiking destination in the Brandenberg Alps. It forms the municipal boundary between Langkampfen and Lake Thiersee and is regarded as Kufstein's local mountain.

The summit views extend from the Kaisergebirge, Kitzbüheler Alps, Hohe Tauern and Zillertaler Alps to the Inn Valley. The privately run Pendlinghaus (also Kufsteiner Haus) is located on the summit - the two summit crosses can be reached in a few minutes on foot via a path. From Pendling you can walk the grassy ridge high above the Inn valley via Höhlenstein, Köglhörndl and Hundsalmjoch to Buchacker.

The hike is very easy hike: 1.5 h from the car park at Gasthof Schneeberg above Mitterland (Thiersee) (marked footpath as a shortcut to the forest road).  In winter the road to the Kala-Alm serves as a sledge run. Sledges can be rented directly at the hut for 3 EUR per person.
