This hike leads you through a part of the Doi Inthanon National Park. The trail starts at a temple next to the park, it leads along agricultural plots, a small village, waterfalls, and it ends at an Elephant sanctuary.
Be careful not to step onto the farmers' products before harvest season. The village that you reach about half-way features a small shop where drinks and snacks can be bought. However, it cannot be guaranteed that the shop is open once you get there.
There are elephants living freely in this territory and you might meet them during the hike. Be very quiet and do not go closer toward them than necessary. You do not want to be the subject of the headline "Reckless tourist killed by elephant".
Along the waterfalls by the end of the hike, you are likely to meet the tourist groups who start and finish at about the same spot as this trail. They usually walk it in the reverse direction though. There are small shores below the waterfalls that allow you to swim and refresh.
