Zuckerhütl (3,507 m) is the highest peak of the Stubai Alps. This route goes through other two famous peaks Wilder Freiger (3,418 m) and Wilder Pfaff (3,458 m) too. Zuckerhütl and Wilder Freiger are part of the seven summits in Stubai (more about that here).
To Sulzenauhütte: There is free parking available at Sulzenauhütte Parking. From there is T2 path leads to Sulzenauhütte. The path is very scenic with waterfalls and streams. From parking you need 2 hours to the hut (according to the sign post). This route is nice tour for 3 days tour with overnight stay at Sulzenauhütte and Müllerhütte.
From Sulzenauhütte to Wilder Freiger: From Sulzenauhütte follow the marked path (Lübecker weg) to Wilder Freiger. The route goes through Blaue Lacke before getting into the Fernerstube. Soon turn left in the glacier towards Lübecker Scharte. From the saddle you walk on the ridge to Wilder Freiger. The path requires scrambling up to grade II and some sections are secured with rope.
Wilder Freiger to Wilder Pfaff: Wilder Freiger to Signalgipfel is easier scrambling (grade I) from Signalgipfel marked path leads to Becherhaus from there continue on glacier towards Müllerhütte. From Müllerhütte the path goes through the glacier first then long grade II scrambling to the summit.
Wilder Pfaff to Zuckerhütl: From Wilder Pfaff we took the the rocky path to the Sulzenauferner glacier and finally grade II scrambling to the summit.
Zuckerhütl to parking lot: From Zuckerhütl continue to the same path as ascent before traversing on Sulzenauferner glacier towards Fernaujoch. From Fernaujoch continue on the Fernauferner glacier (steep descent at the beginning). Then easy path to the parking. It's possible to skip the descent from Fernaujoch and take the cable car.
