Krinnenspitze is a 2000 m high mountain in Tannheim alps, which offers amazing views of Tannheim mountains, Haldensee and the valley. The peak is mostly visited by locals, so it is never crowded. In summer, this is an easy-medium hike (advanced hiker may even combine it with Litnisschrofen). However, in winter extra care should be taken; snowshoes are almost a must.
Reaching the start point: Ideally, one should go there by car, however it is possible to use public transport as well - From Munich take a regional train to Reutte, and from there take bus 120 to Haldensee seeparkplatz, which is the start and endpoint of the hike. Note that bus ride is not covered by Bayern ticket (or Werdenfels ticket).
Ascent: The first part is along a wide mountain road. At the first bifurcation go left, which is still a mountain road, but a bit narrower and steeper. Finally, we see a bifurcation with a signpost - both ways lead to the peak, but for ascent it is recommended to take the right one, which requires crossing a stream. After the stream, the path becomes steeper. Once the forest clears, we can see Litnisschrofen, and Krinnenspitze. Once you reach the hut Gräner Ödenalpe, turn left and follow the way to the peak.
Descent: The descent is via the hut Edenalpe Nesselwängle, and is a bit shorter compared to ascent. However, it is steeper, and therefore not recommended for ascent. At the hut, make sure to turn left, and not follow straight path.
