Hochries (1569 m) is a mountain at the northern edge of the western Chiemgau Alps. From the managed Hochrieshütte it offers an excellent panoramic view over the district of Rosenheim, the Simssee and the Chiemsee, the Inn valley and the surrounding mountains (Kaisergebirge, eastern Mangfallgebirge) up to the Großglockner and the glaciers of the Central Alps.

This route goes through three summits closely located on a ridge in this order: Hochries, Karkopf and Feichteck.

The route is technically easy (mostly easy) except the small section on the ridge from Karkopf to Feichteck. There are some section where scrambling upto UIAA I is required.
