The starting point of the route is Parking lot at Talbahnhof Brannenburg. Most of the hike is T2/T3 and there are no difficult sections except the following:
Rampoldplatte to Lechnerkopf (T4/II): Follow the ridge towards Hochsalwand. There is a bifurcation on the right towards the normal route to Hochsalwand, but we continue straight on the ridge towards Lechnerkopf. First we traverse to the right and follow the NW gully to Lechnerkopf. There are no signs so good orientation skills are required.
Lechnerkopf to Hochsalwand (T3/I): There are cairns to from Lechnerkopf to Hochsalwand. The path is not marked but easy to guess as this part is also used as ascent to Lechnerkopf (more popular than the one we took to Lechnerkopf). After arriving at the saddle the ascent to Hochsalwand is not difficult and there is clear path.
Hochsalwand to Haidwand (T3, poor visibility): First follow the marked route towards Wendelstein. Soon you have to leave the marked path and the path goes to the ridge. This part has very poor visibility. Most of the time you stay on the left of the ridge.
Haidwand to Wendelstein (T3, poor visibility): There are some red dots but small to see to go back to the normal route. After that follow the marked normal route to Wendelstein.
