This is quite long tour and probably better to split in two days with overnight stay at Kenzenhütte.

The route offers amazing views of Ammergauer Alps with multiple peaks:

  • Hasentalkopf (1,797 m)
  • Weitalpspitz (1,870 m)
  • Hochplatte (2,082 m)
  • Hochblasse (1,989m)
  • Krähe (2,010 m)
  • Geiselstein (1,882 m)
  • Kenzenkopf (1,745 m)
  • Grubenkopf (1,839 m)
  • Hirschwang (1,868 m)
  • Feigenkopf (1,866 m)
  • Gr. Klammspitze (1,924 m)

Most of the hike is not difficult (maximum T3) except Hochplatte and Geiselstein. Hochplatte traverse is T4 and requires sure footedness, no fear of hight.

Geiselstein, aka "Matterhorn of Ammergauer Alps" requires T5(II) ascent. If you're not comfortable, it's possible to skip it.
