Route Information
Hochmiesing (1883 m) is not very famous mountain in Bavarian prealps. The summit can be reached as an easy, and less frequent mountain hike compared to the neighbouring Rotwand. The summit area is quite extensive, flat, and densely covered by mountain pines, but offers a view in all directions.
By public transport: Take the BOB train from Munich Hbf to Osterhofen, that's the starting point of the hike. The hike ends in Spitzingsee. Take the Bus from Spitzingsattel to Fischhausen Nehhaus, from there you can get the BOB train to Munich. If you are traveling in group, you can buy Bayern ticket which covers the whole cost of the tour.
