Nice tour including a wonderful peak and two lakes. First we go towards Reichenbach. After a small bridge, a sign points left into Gaistobel. Steps and wire rope on bridges lead us through the wild romantic Tobel. A few hairpin and we reach Gaisalpe. We leave the alp behind and keep left towards Falkenjoch. The path now rises steeply through the forest. On open terrain we pass the cultivated Rubialpe and climb a few more meters up to the Falkenjoch. On the right it goes up to the Entschenkopf. Still across the meadow and a small piece of forest on the yoke, then up through a dense pine area. On the left the walls drop steeply towards the Retterschwanger valley and finally the Latschenfeld is crossed. On a gravelly and partly rocky subsoil continues up. The sun heads in our back, Gaisalpe and the Illertal below us on the right. On the last meters of altitude, meanwhile through rocky terrain, you have to "lend a hand" again. In easy climbing it goes to the highest point of the tour, the summit of the Entchenkopf. You need surefootedness for the exhausting ascent, but you are rewarded with great views and deep views. Up here, the entire panorama of the upper Illertal, Rotspitz, the Daumen and right side spreads out the Rubihorn. From the summit, it goes downhill to the south. Below our ridge path, the UntereGaisalpsee dominates the scenery. Soon the Obere Gaisalpsee appears in front of us and then waterfalls. Partially exposed, with parts of the path washed out and thus slightly slipping, it goes in the direction of "Gängele", where the path begins to climb again. From now on it goes down towards the two mountain lakes. Coming from the Nebelhorn, the path crosses from the Geisfußsattel and leads in an arc around the Upper Gaisalpsee and finally down to the lower lake. We pass the lower Gaisalpsee at an altitude of 1,500 m and continue to descend on the path renewed in 2015. We finally catch the Wallfarweg that brings us to the station.
