Benediktenwand (1,801 m) is a mountain ridge in the Bavarian Prealps between the rivers Loisach and Isar as well as the Jachenau in the south and the monastery Benediktbeuern in the north, from which it gets its name. The current route is the easiest climbing route that can still be done without climbing gear.
Ascent: From the train station, follow the normal path towards Tutzinger Hütte. The path goes mostly on the forest road, and can be done using bike too. From Tutzinger Hütte you follow the normal path on the left before diverting to the wall through scree. You can see the approximate path on the picture. Most of the path is easy scrambling up to grade UIAA I except the key point. The path is easy to find, there are orange dots. The key point requires climbing on a short section on exposed rock, that's UIAA III.
Descent: Follow the normal path.
Warning: Alpine experience required for this route. There was a fatal accident on the key point in 2014.
