Beautiful hike with the view of  Großer Alpsee, the biggest lake in Allgäu. There are several huts on the way but can be closed during the winter time.

Ascent: From the train station to the east follow the Adolph-Probst-Straße and the sign to Kanzel-Immenstädter Horn along the cemetery. Follow up the Kanzel weg ( a little bit steep at the beginning) to the summit. The junctions to the summit have clear sign posts. From the summit you have the view of Großer Alpsee in the north and Steinberg in the south side.

Descent: From the summit continue the NW across the meadow and after 20 minutes you will reach a hut (not a service hut).  Continue the mild uphill path to reach the Kemptener Naturfreundehaus (45min from the summit).

From here, it is 15 minutes hike to Gschwender Horn. Continue the forest path and sign posts at the junctions to get back to Immenstadt.
