The ascent to Kanzelwand from Riezlern going then to the Fiderepasshütte (2,067 m) in the Kleinwalsertal in Vorarlberg offers many different landscapes and changes. The starting point for the tour is the valley station of the Kanzelwandbahn. To the right of the cable car station begins the road that leads up to the top station of the Kanzelwand. Just just cross the meadow and continue at the next sign on the right in the direction of Riezler Alpe. Through the forest it now goes relatively quickly uphill to the Riezler Alpe at 1,526 m. At the Riezler Alpsee, turn left to the Gundsattel. From the Gundsattel - the border crossing to Germany - follow the flower and adventure trail till Kanzelwand. After enjoying the view from the peak, we turn towards Roßgundalpe. Below the Kanzelwand and the Walser Hammerspizte, the Krummbacher Höhenweg leads through the nature reserve Allgäuer Hochalpen. At the Kühgundalpe you will come across the path that leads up from the Warmatsgund valley. Here you keep right along the Warmatsgrundbach up to the Fidere Pass and the Fiderepass hut at 2,067 m. The Fiderepasshütte (2067 m) is a beautifully located DAV hut in Kleinwalsertal. The view of the past Wildental, Mittelberg, the Walmendingerhorn is just as stunning as the surrounding mountains of Elferkopf, Zwölferkopf and Kemptner Köpfle. We finally go down to Mittelberg through the beatiful Wildenbachtal, following the rushing Wildenbach.
