Route Information
Col Cesta is part of the Vette Feltrine, the southernmost complex of Dolomites.
This track includes the quite steep Sentiero Forzelon (CAI 815) on the way up, winding through woods and open meadows.
After crossing one pretty exposed grassy section, the track 815 crosses track 812 in the Busa delle Vette Grandi. From there it is possible to quickly reach the top of Col Cesta (2060 m). The nearby Rifugio Dal Piaz offers food and rest.
The way down goes through the path CAI 801 (Alta Via delle Dolomiti n° 2), which ends close to the Passo Croce d'Aune. From there, a path to the left leads to the starting/ending point of this hike.
