Route Information
Very Scenic hike with a view of both the lakes, Kochel see and Walcehensee. Start at the northern most point of Welcensee and hike up to Herzogstand. Drink beer in the nice bear garden of top. Hike down to Walchensee village and swim in the lake. Take bus (9608 I think, every 1 hour, last bus at 6.10pm, ) back to Kochel bahnhof and then RB back to Munich.
The hike takes around 3-5 hours depending on your fitness level. Proper hiking shoe recommended as descend can be steep at parts.
