Route Information
The starting point of the route is Almbachklamm parkplatz. The entry to Almbachklamm costs 6 EUR per person, and there is a discount for a group more than 10 persons. The klamm offers amazing views of waterfalls and caves.
After the klamm, there is a long forest road which finally becomes narrow forest path leading to Scheibenkaser. From the hut follow the signs to Hochthron klettersteig. You will arrive at the via ferrata entry point in 30 min from the hut.
The via ferrata is mostly grade C except few sections grade D. More details of the ferrata can be seen here. The peak is 5 min walk after the klettersteig.
The path goes to Stöhrhaus after the peak, from there it's steep trail going to "gatterl am Stöhrweg". Which finally goes to Almbachklamm parkplatz. There is a very nice restaurant at the parkplatz which has delicious food and great ambience.

By public transport: Take the train from Munich to Salzburg, then Bus 840 towards Almbachklamm.
