A really beautiful, scenic hike with Kuhflucht waterfall on the ascent to Hoher Fricken.
Ascent to Krottenkopf via Hoher Fricken, traverse over Bischof, passing by Henneck, Kareck and Oberer Rißkopf peaks to Krottenkopf.
Descent over Frickenkar and Niederer Fricken (Oberauer Steig) to Farchant Bhf.
Descent from Bischof towards Henneck is steep and a lof of gravel, here the hiking poles are recommended. Doing this descent in snowy conditions is not recommendable.
There is also another way to reach the Krottenkopf omitting Bischof.
After going along the ridge from Hoher Fricken you will come to a junction with sign and instead of heading to Bischof straight ahead uphill, take a left towards the pathway going to Frikenkar.
Surefootedness and head for heights is needed.Not for beginners.
