Route Information
Nice winter hike starting from parking just south of the Austrian border at Ursprungspass. Reachable with the Skibus from Bayrischzell.
Southside so could get sunny and hot in summer and could get icy in winter. If you do this in winter make sure to have your spikes/snow shoes with you!
Mariandlalm (also called Obere Trockenbachalm) is a great place to make a stop over.
Mostly cleared path up to Mariandlalm which also used as a sledge slope. Only if there is little snow you can continue up to Trainsjoch. The avalanche danger is average and on the free slopes there is danger of wet snow avalanches.
