This is a very easy hike which includes two peaks and a nice ridge to walk on between the peaks. There is also an unnamed peak in between Buchrain and Rauheck, so in total 3 peaks are covered in this trail. The path is fairly easy, and should take between 4 - 4.5 hours. So in winter days, when the daylight is much shorter, this hike is ideal. If enough time is available, Heimgarten can also be attempted from Rauheck.
This route is created based on the gps recorded in my Garmin watch. So, slight deviations are expected here and there, but the whole path is marked with yellow boards.
The portion from Rauheck till the loop usually does not get sunlight, so in winter depth of snow there is much more than the rest of the path.
