Güntlespitze (2,092 m) is often climbed as skitour/snowshoes from Baad. If you have enough fitness, you can cover Grünhorn (2,039 m) as well. For this tour, you need absolute safe avalanche conditions. The views of Hoher Ifen and Grosser Wiedderstein is breathtaking.

From Baad parking lot, you initially follow the wide forest road along the summer path which bifurcates at about 1500 m elevation on the left. From here the trail becomes very steep and narrow. Probably this part wouldn't be possible with snowshoes. If you want to do this tour with snowshoes, you can continue following the summer path and further continue straight towards the peak. After arriving at the signpost on the summit ridge, you can descent by following the path on West for some time before turning right.

After long traverse, the trail starts to go up towards Starzeljoch. From here follow the ridge to Grünhorn (signpost says 20 min to the summit).
