Enjoy hiking year-round at the August-Schuster Haus with an optional peak, the Teufelstättkopf. The views from the top are absolutely spectacular and considered a classic tour in the Ammergauer Alpen.

There is also the possibility to sled from the August-Schuster Haus back down to the parking lot in winter.

Most of the hike follows a forest road up to the hut. Afterward, it's a hiking trail. The last 10 meters to the Teufelstättkopf summit are secured by a cable. In winter, these cables may be buried. Surefootedness is required during this final ascent.

During spring and summer, be sure to visit the Schleifmühlklamm, which is a ten-minute walk from the parking lot. The Klamm features a few small waterfalls and is refreshing on a hot day.
