Despite the long ascent, the Notkarspitze (1889m) is a popular summit destination because of the magnificent view of the Zugspitze massif, among other things. On the long ridge you can “take” two more great peaks with you (Ochsensitz & Ziegelspitze), both of which are practically on the way.
The described ascent is moderately difficult, the climb on the descent is sometimes very steep and supported with steel cables. If you shy away from this, just go back on the ascent, the view is always great;)
