Pleasant hike from Eng to Lamsenjochhütte with stunning views at the foot of Lamsenspitze and nice lunch at the hut's veranda with excellent cooking.

After the tour, you might want to stroll down Engalm, enjoy the view and buy some cheese or have a coffee at the terrace of the Gasthof.

For this hike, you need regular hiking equipment (Shoes, backpack, poles) but no car at all. Going by car is easy, however you have to pay a toll at the "Mautstation" in Hinterriss and park at Alpengasthof Eng. (cul de sac).

This route is accessible via public transport from Munich and the bus ride itself is already a treat, so if you depend on public transport, make sure you have a window seat in the bus, especially once entering the Risstal and Ahornboden, an alpine agricultural landscape that has been reportedly around for 600 years. Starting with BRB from Munich Hbf you travel to Lenggries and hop on the  bus to make it to Eng.

For transport details, please google " bergsteiger bus eng", check out www.bahn.de for "Eng Tirol Gasthaus" or refer to the link provided in the directions section (valid 2021)
