Let´s go to Rofans this week!

A medium long hike from Achenkirch to the impressive Steinerne Tor in the small Rofan subrange of the Brandenberger Alps range. On consistently good forest, forest and gravel paths you have a great view of the Achensee region, the Hochhiss and the Kotalmjoch along the entire route starting from Achenkirch. The starting point is the parking lot opposite the Achenseehof ship landing stage. From here the route leads on a wide forest path or a steep path to the Kotalm Niederleger and then on to the Kotalm Mitterleger and finally on a beautiful path over the Kotalm Hochleger to the impressive Steinernes Tor.  It is formed by a distinctive cut in the rocky connecting crest between Klobenjoch and Streichkopf. Through the Stone Gate leads a hiking trail that connects Dalfazalm and Kotalm. Grandiose mountain panorama on both sides of the Steinerne Tor. A real highlight and a great view of Dalfalz walls.

From the stone gate you take the descent over the Dalfazalm and then the beautiful Dalfazer waterfalls till Maurach. After a refreshing swim we go back towards Achenkirch along a lovely path that always goes along the lake shore.
