The path from the Saletalm to the Fischunkelalm leads along the banks of the Obersee. The path is rocky and narrow and in a rainy day can be a bit sleeper but it is anyone accessible by anyone.

The Fischunkelalm is a managed alpine hut on the southeastern shore of the Obersee. Above the Fischunkelalm is the Röthbachfall, the highest waterfall in Germany.

After the nice view of this area is possible to go back to Salet and take the boat for a second excursion from St Bartoloma. With a relatively short walk it is possible to reach Schrainbachfall, alternatively and if time allow it would be possible also to have a walk until the ice caves from the same starting point.
