Blassengrat ridge over Hochblassen is classical ridge climbing tour in Wetterstein mountains. In order to do this tour in one day, you need very good stamina and must be able to climb on extremely exposed terrain for a very long time.
From Hammersbach, follow the path to marked path to Kreuzeck, then on the ski slope to Hoch Alm. At around 1839m you will see a signpost, you take the left turn there to Bernadeinkopf over Schönganger klettersteig. From Bernadeinkopf go down towards Stuibensee. There you follow the stone man and you arrive at the ridge with after few easy scrambling sections. From now on you mostly stay on the ridge. Till Hoher Gaif you have mostly easy scrambling and not so exposed.
From Hoher Gaif you go down and then climb up on some exposed and technical sections. Then you arrive at the first rappel point. To reach there there is a rope attached on the North side of the ridge. After rappel you climb again on very exposed sections and some of them are quite tricky. Until Blasenspitze you have to be extra careful as you often climb on exposed terrain. From Blassenspitze you walk on the ridge most of the time and be careful with the brittle rock. You by pass the finger on the left. From here you have to do some easy scrambling and you arrive at Hochblassen. There are stone man to help finding the way.
From Hochblassen the ridge becomes easy and you often see iron rods on difficult sections. Keep following the ridge and you will merge in Jubi grat eventually. From there walk towards Grieskarscharte and then to Höllental over Mattheisenkar. Then back to parking over Höllentalklamm.
