This route is the same as HB-1338, but opposite direction.

Starting at Eschenlohe (reachable by train from Munich), constant ascend till Simetsberg for about 12km gaining around 1200m until the summit above 1800m. Most of the track is on forest road, so expect a good couple of hours on smooth terrain. At some point, there is a sign at the left side, pointing to a trail that will bring you to the peak, through forest first, open space then, and the final part through some bushes. Once at the top, looking to the south, one can see Walchensee to the left, Zugspitze to the right, and Mittenwald valley and the magnificent Karwendel mountains to the front.

The hike continues to Walchensee (Einsiedl, reachable by bus), to get there from the summit one needs to descent for about 7km, with beautiful views to Walchensee.
