Marmolada Punta Penia is the highest peak of Dolomites, and Punta Rocca is the neighbouring summit to it. In winter Punta Rocca is very popular, thanks to the cable car and ski slope almost to the summit.

Ascent: The start is from parking lot near Lago Fedaia (no parking fees). Initially follow the piste till Rifugio Capana al Ghiacciaio. There are some steep sections that might be icy. From the hut turn slightly left towards ski slope. In the last part follow the ski slope to the top. Be careful with the crevasses near summit. Check avalanche risk before planning.

Descent: Same as ascent, be careful with crevasses.
