Tauern is a 1.841m mountain in Tyrol situated between the beautiful lakes Plansee- and Heiterwanger See. Since the mountain looks like a ship in the lakes its also called MS Tauern by the locals. The views during the ascent are breathtaking and described as hiking like in Norway because the long lakes surrounded by iconic mountains looks like Fjords. In summer it is a nice hike and swim route

Technical difficulty: The hike has difficulty T4. Please read the blog to understand the requirement for sac scale T4 (alpine hiking).
