Route Information
This route is a popular walk around Eibsee but starting from the Grainau Zugspitzbahn stop which is included in the Bayern Ticket (need to get physical tickets for the separate train in the train station at Garmisch-Partentkirchen but no extra charge). The hike is quite easy but has an added incline for a bit of a challenge and some good views. The hike is possible in winter but be aware of conditions and bring proper gear (including spikes and gaiters). There are food and drink options near Eibsee.
