Dreiländerspitze (3,197 m) and Silvrettahorn (3,244 m) are very famous peaks accessible from Wiesbadener Hütte. The ascent to both the summits requires scrambling up to grade 2 in very exposed rock that can be icy as well. It's better to do this tour in 2 days with overnight stay at the hut. Full glacier equipment and knowledge is required for this tour.
Ascent: The starting point of the tour is Bielerhöhe. In summer, you can drive till there but in winter, the only possible way is to take the cable car Vermuntbahn and two buses through tunnel. From the starting point, you follow the path on the left of the lake to Wiesbadener Hütte. The signpost says 2 hours to the hut. There are no technical sections till the hut.
From the hut, continue South East towards Obere Ochenscharte. Soon the glacier becomes very steep and you have to start scrambling in the rock. It's a good idea to use rope in exposed sections. Follow the same path back to the hut.
From the hut you go little bit down and approach the glacier on right crossing all the crevasses on the left. There might be some icy and steep parts here. Once you arrive at the glacier, at about 2900m turn right towards Silvrettahorn. Continue until you arrive the ridge. The last part required scrambling up to grade 2, some parts are very exposed.
Follow the same path to the hut and then back to the Stausee.
