Climbing paradise arround Dollnstein

The Altmuhl river flowing in the Altmuhltal valley is a beautiful area for hiking and biking. Specially in the Eichstätt and Dollnstein sorrounding, one can find many rocks for all climbing levels.

The oberlandsteig is a very friendly route, which consists of twin parallel paths:

Red 🔴 as a beginner friendly path in the wood and between rocky walls (Technical level, Mostly T2, a bit T3).

Blue 🔵 for via Ferrara A-C and free climbing 1-2 (T5).

Both trails separate and joins frequently, so one can choose which rocks to easily climb and which bypass by the walking trail. 

Many stations along the way are ready with full climbing options for leading and top ropes.

If one wish to make it a longer day route, one of many suggestions is to add the close by "Jägersteig"
