Innere Sommerwand (3,122 m) is one of the most famous peaks from Franz-Senn-Hütte. Hpwever, most of the people who do in winter, skip the last part of scrambling on the exposed ridge. Sure footedness and no fear of height is required for this tour.
Ascent: In winter you can only drive till Seduck, where you can find free parking. From the parking lot, it's an easy hike till Oberissalm. Then the path becomes steep and narrow before you arrive at Franz-Senn-Hütte.
From the hut follow the path on the South towards Sommerwand glacier. Just before arriving at the ridge the path becomes very steep. There is a fixed rope at the beginning. But the rest of the path to summit is unsecured on exposed ridge, so it should not be underestimated.
