Hirschbichel, also known as Hirschbühel is a rather unfrequented peak in the Ammergauer Alps. The reason could be, that the most hikers in the area aim to climb the well known Kramer, the "Hausberg" of Garmisch. The ascent and descent is the same way across the so called "Gelbes Gewänd", a well laid out beautiful trail which looks different all times of the day. There is a nice hut on the way with excellent views to the Zugspitzmassive. This tour is also suitable for sportive beginners. The route is south-exposed and possible early in the year.
