The Kohlbergspitze is a 2,202 m high summit on the main chain (Daniel ridge) of the Ammergau Alps in Tyrol, Austria which has one of the biggest summit crosses in Tyrol. Even the views to  Heiterwanger See and Plansee are breathtaking. For the ascent from Bichlbach-Berwang at a waypoint at ca. 1500m you can decide between an easy route (east side) and a very steep route with some scrambling (west side via Zingerstein). There are signs what makes it easier - the black path is the difficult one. From the peak, you have the option to go the same way back but why not follow the "Alpenrosensteig" for a while, a nice trail where you can see a lot of wild mountain flowers.
