Easy route to the Sonnenspitz which is supposed to offer one of the nicest views on Kochelsee.
The peak is often reccommended for sunset/afterwork hikes, that's why this route is kept short.
The route starts with a longer walk through the village, the way is already here gong upwards. The next part is going through the forest, first with quite moderate steepness and later, after a left-turn rather steep up. The route passes next to a climbing rock and partically encircles it (it stays always on the left-hand side) before it changes direction to the right Here is the steepest part of the tour and it relaxs only a little before reaching the summit of Sonnenspitz. From it Graseck is reached on a rocky ridge and from there the orute starts descending, first quite steep and then more moderately. At the climbing rock the descent joins the route used upwards and uses the same track till Kochel train station.
If a car is used to get to Kochel, there are parking spots at the beginning of the forest/hills and thus the longer walk through the village of Kochel can be spared.
