The tour starts at Oberstdorf Central Station, which can be reached conveniently from Munich in about 2.5 h. After crossing the town, you ascent slowly towards the easy and probably touristy ridge. You can have a longer stop at Fellhorn cablecar mountain station, before you say goodbye to the crowds and hello to the more exciting parts of the tour: From here it's just a short walk towards Zweiländer-Sportklettersteig (https://www.bergsteigen.com/touren/klettersteig/zweilaender-sport-klettersteig/), which brings you to the top of Kanzelwand. From there you can continue upwards until you reach the peak of Walser Hammerspitze, the highest peak of today with 2170 m. Only very experienced mountaineers can follow the ridgeline directly, crossing Hochgehrenspitze and Oberstdorfer Hammerspitze (up to III and very exposed!). The "normal" hiker will descend from Walser Hammerspitze towards the Southwest and then ascent again to Fiderepasshütte, which is the target for today.
