For the last day of our tour we're very much looking forward to another highlight: The Hindelanger Klettersteig. In order to get there we first need to make some distance from Prinz-Luitpold-Haus towards the top of Nebelhorn. A word of warning again: This ferrata is very popular, hence one should try to start it before the first cablecar arrives, which means leaving the hut around 6. The difficult parts of the ferrata do not exceed grade C; however it's much more the parts without any steel rope that are challenging, not least due to the big exposure of the ridge towards the North. Hence the whole stretch from Nebelhorn until Zwiebelstränge has to be hiked with utmost care.
Once we've finished Hindelanger Klettersteig we can hike up a couple of minutes until we reach the peak of Großer Daumen (yes, big thumb) and enjoy the views. However, we're by no means done for today as we need to descend back into the valley. Before we can do so, another easy ferrata (Hohe Gänge, up to B) awaits us that begins after Kleiner Daumen. Once we've reached Breitenberg (South peak) afterwards, it's just a steep but not difficult descent that finally ends up at the parking lot in Bruck, from where a bus leaves that brings us towards Bad Hindelang and finally to Sonthofen. From there we can take the train back to Munich again,
This is by the way not T6. However it is clearly T5 and very much exposed.
