Kohlbergspitze is a 2,202 m high summit on the main chain (Daniel ridge) of the Ammergau Alps in Tyrol, Austria which has one of the biggest summit crosses in Tyrol. Most of the route is similar to this one, that goes till Zigerstein (1,975 m). So in this route I will describe only the last part from the Schärtle to Kohlbergspitze.

From Schärtle follow the direction towards Kohlbergspitze, there are some sections where scrambling upto grade I is required. Most of the technical sections are secured with the chain. After the chains are finished, the path traverse the steep scree on the right towards Zigerstein. After the scree is finished leave the trail and turn left, there are some red dots marking. Then continue towards Kohlbergspitze, some places are a bit technical and require grade I scrambling. There are often rockfalls caused by other hikers, so you have to be very careful.
